Matthew Christy, CFA

Mathew Christy has been analyst for nearly 12 years, most recently researching industrial and energy companies for Standard and Poor’s Equity Research, where he was awarded the Wall Street Journal’s Best on Street award in 2009. In addition, he has worked for a number of buy-side investment management companies, where he was tasked with making investment recommendations in a number of sectors including consumer discretionary, staples, energy, finance, technology, industrial, and materials. Mathew is a graduate of Bentley University and is a CFA chartholder.


Vitalie Eremia, CFA

"Vitalie Eremia, CFA has a strong background in financial modeling and industry research. He began his career in finance while studying in university, devoting most of his time to a demanding job in a leading microfinance institution, where in a short time he progressed from project assistant to accountant. His excellent command of English language comes from two years of studies in the UK. Vitalie is a regular member of the CFA Institute. Vitalie is also a member of the Advisory team at Chartis Research, a leading London-based provider of research and analysis on the global market for risk technology."


Theodore J. Kim, CFA, FRM, Barrister at Law

Theodore began his career in capital markets at Euromoney Institutional Investor, one of the largest financial publishing firms in Europe, and eventually served as Contributing Editor in Moscow in charge of CEE markets with particular focus covering finance ministries, central banks, as well as small and emerging companies in a variety of sectors including Oil & Gas, Healthcare, Technology, and Financial Services.  He then worked at Citigroup Private Bank developing a variety of investment research products for High Net Worth Clients providing insight and commentary on both US and global markets.  At the Investment Banking division of Morgan Stanley, he served as an internal consultant advising on a variety of restructuring and process improvement projects involving the bank's operations in the US, Europe and India.  He also served as risk manager for a start up global long short hedge fund and Research Director for an award winning independent research firm, The Smart Cube, where he closely worked with and delivered cutting edge proprietary research to several of the largest investment banks and hedge funds in the industry.  As a Director of Barrowgate, Inc., a capital markets research consulting firm, he has produced tailed research solutions and advised clients such as The Financial Times Stock Exchange, GlobeOps Financial, Morgan Stanley, and Dow Jones. 

Theodore graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut, received a BSc. (Economics) Honours from the London School of Economics, and an MSc. in International Economics (with distinction) from the University of Paris 1, Pantheon-Sorbonne.  After completing law school in London focusing on International Trade and International Business Transactions, he was admitted as a Barrister at law at the Bar of England and Wales and practiced law in London advising clients on EU financial legislation, European taxation, and commercial litigation.  He received the CFA designation, the Financial Risk Manager Certification (FRM) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals, has published three text books on global investment management, and regularly contributes to several investment industry publications.  He is a member and former chair of the Global Investment Committee of the New York Society of Security Analysts, the CFA Institute, the Global Association of Risk Professionals, the American Friends of the LSE, the Asia Society, and Chair of the North American chapter of the LSE Global Real Estate Group.


Dr. Steven R. Fox

Dr. Steven R. Fox is an accomplished and successful business entrepreneur.  Dr. Fox has extensive experience in both launching start-ups and developing these start-ups into ongoing, profitable and sustainable companies.  He also is an expert in the field of reverse mergers.  Dr. Fox has overseen all facets of management including financing, research and development, staffing, accounting, operations and marketing, and financial public relations.  Dr. Steven R. Fox has built a long list of high-profile and accomplished contacts with leaders in corporate, government academic and non-profit organizations. He has served on the faculty of leading universities including Harvard University and New Your University.  As well, Dr. Fox has appeared many times on national television programs such as CNN, Fox News and CNBC and has been featured in numerous top business publications, such as The Wall Street Journal and Forbes Magazine.  Dr. Fox also has over 30 years of experience in delivering presentations on business and consumer issues before trade associations, educational groups and commercial affiliations.  Dr. Steven Fox received his Bachelor of Science degree from University of Rochester and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University.

Christopher J. Tolla

Mr. Tolla, a career technologist, has been working with information technologies for over 16 years. He is currently the Chief Information Officer for Odeon Capital Group and  is responsible for managing the information technology group, including all proprietary development as well as third-party trading platforms and connectivity. Prior to joining Odeon, he held the position of Chief Information Officer for Sidoti & Company, an equity research sales and trading group and the largest provider of small-cap equity research on Wall Street. Prior to that, Mr. Tolla was the Chief Information Officer for J Giordano Securities Group, an institutional broker/dealer engaged in sales, trading, research and investment banking in products such as convertible securities, equities, high-yield bonds, asset-backed paper and options.
 
Mr. Tolla, an Air Force veteran, holds an A.A.S. in Electronics Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, as well as a B.A. in Economics and an M.B.A. with a focus in Management of Technology: both from the University of Connecticut. He also holds an Advanced Business Certificate in Information Technology from the Connecticut Information Technology Institute. Mr. Tolla is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma societies, as well as a member of the Society for Information Management.


Nancy Twaits

Nancy Twaits began her Wall Street career with Merrill Lynch, where she graduated from the Merrill Lynch Account Executive Training Program where she later passed her Series 7 and 63 exams.  This launched a successful Wall Street career, where she joined Merrill’s Equity Research Marketing Group and later transferred those skills to Dean Witter, where she co-managed Dean Witter’s Equity Research Marketing Group.  She was later hired by Oppenheimer & Co., becoming an Institutional Equity Salesperson, responsible for institutional equity and investment banking sales to a large contingent of institutional clients.  Nancy later joined forces with 2 investment banking boutiques, where she continued her work in institutional equity sales and investment banking activities, gaining a particular interest in working with small and micro-cap companies.

In 1998, Nancy became the owner, developer and director of NT ASSOCIATES, an Investor Relations’ business with corporate clients located throughout the US.  NT’s clients were micro-cap companies, spanning a wide range of industries including:  medical technology, agriculture, bio-technology and home building. NT’s focus was to increase its’ clients’ presence in the equity markets, and expand their investment shareholder bases.  NT raised equity capital for client companies, arranged extensive road-shows, conferences and conference calls, created written investor presentations, and consulted on the business activities of client companies. 

Nancy is a graduate of Skidmore College with a B.A. in English and a minor in Creative Writing.


Rick Nelson

Mr. Nelson began his career in financial services as an assistant to the senior technical analyst for White Weld in London, UK. He thereafter joined Arnold Berhhard & Co. (Value Line), a well regarded third party research organization, where he conducted Equity, Options and Convertible Securities Research.

For ten years Mr. Nelson developed and expanded Convertible Securities Research at Kidder, Peabody & Co., where he was rated #1 by Greenwich Survey, a major institutional rating organization. Kidder, Peabody fielded one of the most effective convertible security departments on the Street, and Mr. Nelson was instrumental in developing several innovative analytical systems for monitoring and assessing convertible and related derrivative instruments.

After GE sold Kidder, Peabody to Paine Webber, Mr. Nelson joined Lehman Brothers where he again specialized in Convertible Securities Research and received recognition by Institutional Investor (#2 standing) for the category. During his stay at Lehman, over $10 billion in financings by the convertible department took place.

As a Managing Director of ING Barings Furman Selz LLC and, subsequently ABN Amaro, Inc., Mr. Nelson focused on Special Situations Equity Research, Convertible Securities Research and Convertible Securities Capital Markets Origination. In addition to his varied analytical responsibilities, he oversaw the placement of approximately $350 million in lead managed transactions as well as participation in numerous co-managed transactions.

Mr. Nelson continued to apply his expertise in special situations and convertible securities as director of research for J Giordano Securities, a small investment banking and trading boutique. His research department specialized in high yield debt, convertible securities and samll and mid cap company equity research. His deep experience in a wide variety of investment securities embracing all industry sectors has provided him with a ready ability to assess most financial structures.

Mr. Nelson holds a BA degree from Valparaiso University and an MBA degree from the Frank Zarb School of Business of Hofstra University.


Patrick Rau

Patrick Rau, CFA, has a combined eight years experience as a fundamental equity research analyst. Most recently, he served as a buy side generalist analyst for Briarcliff Capital, based in Boca Raton, Florida. Prior to that, he was a sell-side equity research analyst covering the natural gas pipeline/midstream space for the Bank of Montreal. He is also a contributing analyst to SectorStance, an on-line service that provides commentary on a variety of industries for key market personnel. Patrick received a BA in Economics from the College of William & Mary, and an MBA from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business.


Edward F. Lundy, MD, PhD

Dr. Lundy, a Michigan native, previously practiced at Lancaster General Heart Institute, where he was most recently Medical Director of the Open Heart Surgery Program since 1991. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School, where he also completed his surgical internship and residency. Dr. Lundy is the recipient of two American Heart Association fellowships and is board certified in cardiothoracic surgery. He has published numerous professional and research articles in medical journals including The Journal of Surgery, Stroke, Journal of Critical Care, The Journal of Vascular Surgery, and The Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. He is also a renowned lecturer, having presented papers and research throughout the United States.

Dr. Lundy has assembled an impressive team of cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, advanced nurse practitioners, critical care nurses and support staff, all of whom contribute to making the Active International Cardiovascular Institute at Good Samaritan Hospital a national model a top quality centers of its kind in the world.


Jeff Robinson

Mr. Jeff Robinson practices law has a sophisticated corporate and securities practice with continued particular focus on public and private financing and mergers and acquisitions for emerging and mid-sized companies. Among the public and private clients which he represents are computer software corporations, restaurant chains, medical device manufacturers, biotechnology concerns and computer learning centers. Mr. Robinson also represents several mid -tier investment banking firms in Florida and New York. He has represented business in deals ranging from $7 million to $800 million over the past two years. Notable clients include Perry Ellis and Netspeak, for whom he arranged start -up capital in 1995. He began his practice in New York City specializing in corporate, securities and business law. He represented major publicly traded companies as well as emerging business and middle market corporations. He offers experience in the early stage of a company, being proactive in introductions to the financial community. He then stays with the company throughout the years as they become larger and profitable. Mr. Robinson is involved in various community and professional organizations.

M. Walter Levine

Walter Levine, salesman extraordinaire, has built ten successful businesses. Learn practical successful sales and business techniques from a guy that has done it. Creating successful enterprises, building and training sales forces, rebounding from failure, and overcoming obstacles has given Mr. Levine an extensive base of real world experience.

As a Dictograph burglar alarm franchisee, Walter was the number one sales manager worldwide for five years. Walter grew this business into a multi-million dollar enterprise, which became one of the top 20 alarm companies in the U.S. with over 100 employees that he trained and motivated. Bahama Reality and Dictograph selected Walter to develop and conduct sales training programs for regional sales forces totaling over 4,000 sales people worldwide.

After turning over the management of the alarm business to his son, Mr. Levine mortgaged it all and went into equipment leasing syndication business and expanded into, oil and gas exploration syndication, and real estate syndication partnerships. Walter personally built and trained a 200 person sales force with 10 offices nationwide that enabled the company to grow into an $870 million dollar business.

From his work in helping cancer patients, Walter was granted a private audience with Mother Theresa, which increased his desire to help and work with others. There are now over 750 cancer patients that are alive due to Walter’s intervention.

Another highlight in Mr. Levine’s lifetime of achievements occurred in May 2004 when he was awarded an honorary PhD in humane letters from the University of Bridgeport. Walter was a guest lecturer and hosted the M. Walter Levine Lecture Series at the University, which had proven to be a campus favorite. Walter’s proven sales training and motivational techniques that contributed to his success and those of the many people he has trained are available to your organization.


Michael Pellicci

Mr. Pellicci started in business as a restaurateur. In the early days he labored as a chef and learned the restaurant business first-hand and swiftly moved into management of his family owned busin ess, Pellicci's Ristorante in Stamford, CT. The Pellicci family has been eloquently serving Stamford customers since 1947.

In 2004, Mr. Pellicci began transferring his “business smarts” from the restaurant business into the finance arena when he began trading on his own ledger. His stock focus back then was and remains to this day, micro-cap companies in the biotech and various sectors. From 2004 and beyond, Mr. Pellicci led investment groups and traders in these sectors to increase investor/sector knowledge, confidence and increase profit potential.  Mr. Pellicci is well versed in contacting, creating and maintaining strong ties with C-Level management as well as investors and traders at every level of the financial field.

Hushnudbek Yulchiev

Mr Yulchiev is an experienced professional with a solid knowledge in financial analysis, financial forecasting and equity valuation. He commenced his career as a Finance Assistant for JDA International, Inc. in 2003. In 2008 Mr Yulchiev joined Ansher Holding Ltd. Investment Bank as a financial analyst. In this role he carried out extensive financial analyses of investment projects (ranging from USD 20mln to USD 100mln) and equity research of chemical and cotton industries of Uzbekistan (world’s 2nd largest cotton exporter). Mr Yulchiev further deepened his expertise in finance by actively publishing articles in financial media.

His accumulated finance experience across countries and industries equipped him with thorough understanding of financial mechanism of diverse organizations which translated into rendering high quality financial services.

Hushnudbek holds his BA in Finance from Tashkent State Technical University and an MBA from Stockholm University.


Scott Giordano

Scott graduated from Villanova School of Business in 2009 with a major in Finance and minor in Real Estate. Upon graduation he joined Sidoti, a research firm with 300 names under coverage, working with their Institutional Sales team. After getting licensed he went to work for Livingston Securities a boutique investment bank with a specialization in nanotechnology. At Livingston Scott sourced deals, consisting of corporate development and capital raises ranging from seed funding to public finances, and worked closely with their Head of Healthcare and Life Science.


Robert Sassoon

Robert Sassoon has more than 20 years of equity research experience with extensive exposure to international markets and companies, having mainly worked for bulge-bracket investment banks in London and Hong Kong, including Credit Suisse, Natwest Capital Markets and Societe Generale (SG). During his career, he has achieved top 5 rankings in various analyst surveys, including the Extel and Greenwich surveys. Starting out as a basic materials analyst, Robert's research coverage has subsequently embraced multiple industries and public companies.  

After starting his career in London, Robert spent 13 years in Asia, where he served as Director of Hong Kong/China Equity Research for SG. His principal area of research coverage in Asia was the conglomerates sector, which included analysis of a variety of industries, and often focused on corporate restructuring and event-driven themes. While in Asia, he also filled the role of Chairman of the Board of Managing Trustees of the JE Joseph Fund set up to administer and allocate funds for community projects in Shanghai.

Following his relocation to New York, Robert has most recently served as the lead author of the Global Spin-Off Report, responsible for identifying and providing comprehensive fundamental and valuation analysis of global corporate demergers and spin-offs. Robert holds a BA cum laude in economics & government from Essex University as well as a Masters degree in economics from the London School of economics

Christopher O. Mantle

Christopher O. Mantle founded WIDAT Group LLC in July of 2003. Mr. Mantle has Over 21 years of experience on Wall Street, and a natural passion for the Technology driving wireless communications.

Prior to founding the WIDAT Group, Mr. Mantle worked for Boutique Sell Side firms on Wall Street with the most notable being Gabelli and Company, and Friedman Billings and Ramsey in which he held positions in both the sales and analytical capacities.  In these functions Mr. Mantle was responsible for maintaining Institutional Accounts, and conducting analysis on companies in the Telecommunications Market.

Mr. Mantle’s disciplines in Peter Lynch, and Graham Dodd come from over 6 years of experience with Gabelli and Company in the Capacity of Institutional Sales, specializing in Wireless Technology and Telecom. While at Gabelli, Mr. Mantle Founded MAP Wireless LLC, a small business entity designated to bid on PCS auctions that make up our wireless service offerings today. Mr. Mantle’s experience in founding this partnership included: raising funds, participating in the auctions, evaluating the market price for licenses.  The experience Mr. Mantle had in PCS auctions, has given him the introduction to an industry, which he has covered for over 16 years.

Mr. Mantle is a native New Yorker who grew up in the Bronx, and now resides in Westchester County with his wife and 2 children

Vincent Caprio

Mr. Caprio www.vincentcaprio.org is the Executive Director of the NanoBusiness Alliance.
Mr. Caprio www.nanobusiness.org sits on the Alliance’s Board of Directors, as well as the Board of Directors of the Emerging Industries Alliance of New York State. In November 2008, Mr. Caprio co-founded The Water Innovations Alliance www.waterinnovations.org with Mark Modzelewski. Mr. Caprio is one of the foremost advocates for government funding of emerging technologies at both the State and Federal levels. Mr. Caprio has testified before the state legislatures of New York and Connecticut, and has participated in the NanoBusiness Alliance’s public policy tour of Washington, D.C. for the past eight years. Mr. Caprio has served as a consultant to the leading emerging technology research and advisory firm Lux Research, for its Lux Executive Summit in 2005 & 2006. In 2002, Mr. Caprio served as the Event Director and Program Director of the Forbes/IBM Executive Summit.  Prior to joining the NanoBusiness Alliance, Mr. Caprio was event director for Red Herring Conferences, producing the company’s Venture Market conferences and Annual Summit reporting to Red Herring Magazine founder and publisher Tony Perkins. His industry peers have formally recognized Mr. Caprio on several occasions for his talents in both tradeshow management and sales. Mr. Caprio, while employed with Reed Exhibitions, was honored with two Pathfinder Awards in 1995 for launching the New York Restaurant Show. Mr. Caprio graduated from Villanova University in 1979 with a B.S in Accounting and completed a MBA from Northeastern in 1987. Mr. Caprio is a member of Villanova University’s Financial Club and serves as an active member of Villanova’s President Club. Mr. Caprio serves on the Board of Trustees for the Easton Community Center in Easton, CT. In the summer of 2008, Mr. Caprio was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Fabricators & Manufactures Association Communications, Inc. based in Rockford, IL.


Edward Wegel

Mr. Wegel has raised over $350 mm in private equity and $750 million in debt for transactions in the Airline/aviation, biotech, technology and manufacturing sectors. Extensive investment banking training at a major Wall Street firm. Extensive corporate governance experience having served on the boards of several publicly traded as well as privately held companies. Served on the Board of Directors of four (4) airlines. Have served as an advisor to major investment funds including Carlyle Group, Clayton Dubilier, and Apollo Management.

Upon graduation from West Point, Mr. Wegel served in the US Army for five years attaining the rank of Captain. After serving as the Director of Operations & Finance for Northeast Division  Eastern Airlines & Pan American World Airways Mr. Wegel  joined  Shearson Lehman Brothers as Vice President  of their investment banking division from 1987-1991. There he managed over $1 billion of the firm’s and limited partnership investments and served on the board  of Polaris Industries (publicly traded), Houston Biotech (publicly traded) and Micro Palm (private company).

In 1991 he Co-Founded and was Senior Vice President of Finance of Atlantic Coast Airlines. Mr. Wegel helped grow the company from start-up to $300 mm in revenues and coordinated the initial public offering in 1993 with Alex brown.
Since then Mr. Wegel has served as President and CEO of BWIA International Airways, US Airways Express, One Travel Holdings, and Eastern Airlines Inc .

Currently Mr. Wegel is founder and Managing Partner of Aviation Capital Partners, which he founded in 2000. He has led acquisition team to acquire Martinaire, a cargo airline in Dallas, TX and acted as an adviser to Caymen Airways, Guyana Airways, Ranger Aerospace, and Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in respects to restructuring and acquisitions.
